PPS is Prospective Payment System. Once the OASIS is completed, a HHRG is generated. Each HHRG has a different payment amount for the 60 day episodes. There is one set amount you get paid, but part will be in a RAP ( Request for anticipated Payment) and the rest in the EOE (End of Episode).

PPS refers to an “episode” which is 60 days. Under PDGM, you are dealing with two 30 day “periods” of payment
